How to Play

Trivlet is a fast-paced trivia game where every millisecond counts. Each round has 10 questions with 5 choices and a 10-second timer. The faster you answer correctly, the more points you score.

• Choose a category or play Mixed for a blend of topics
• Optionally set your difficulty preference
• Answer 10 questions as fast as you can
• See your score breakdown and compare with others

No account required to try it out — you start with 5 free credits. New players get an automatic 3-question tutorial that teaches the scoring system.

Create a passkey account to save your stats, earn badges, join clans, and climb the leaderboards across devices.

Solo

Play by yourself against the clock. Great for practice and beating your personal best. Costs 1 credit.

1v1 Duel

Real-time head-to-head against another player at your league tier. Both play the same pack simultaneously — fastest and most accurate wins. Winner earns league XP, loser loses some. Costs 1 credit.

Public Matchmaking

Jump into a public lobby and get matched with other players. Games start automatically after a short countdown. 1 credit per player.

Private Room / Arena

Every registered player gets a persistent Arena — a permanent room with a unique code. Share the code or QR and play with friends anytime. The host controls when the game starts. 1 credit per player. Upgrade your arena with custom names, themes, extended capacity, and more.

Daily Challenge

A new pack every day, the same for all players worldwide. Compete for the top spot on the daily leaderboard. Resets at midnight UTC. Always free.

Offline Mode

Lost connection? Trivlet automatically caches packs so you can play solo offline. Scores aren't saved, but you can still enjoy trivia anywhere — on a plane, in a tunnel, or off the grid.

Credits regenerate automatically based on your account tier:

New players start with 5 credits. Create an account to unlock regeneration and keep playing for free. Verify your phone for faster regen and more max credits.

Every correct answer earns points based on speed:

• Base: 7,000 points (guaranteed for correct answer)
• Speed bonus: Up to 3,000 extra for answering quickly
• Max per question: 10,000 points
• Wrong/timeout: 0 points

The speed bonus decreases linearly over 10 seconds. A perfect game (10/10, all instant) = 100,000 points. Answers under 400ms are capped.

XP Bonuses

• Accuracy: +50% XP for 10/10, +35% for 9/10, +20% for 8/10, +10% for 7/10
• Daily challenge: +35% XP
• Streak: +5% per day (up to +50% at 10 days)
• Pro subscriber: 1.5x XP on all games
• Replay penalty: Diminishing XP on same pack (100% → 75% → 50% → 25%)

After a solo game (500+ score, 3+ correct), tap "Challenge a Friend" to share the same pack. Your friend plays it and you see a head-to-head comparison.

• Links expire after 7 days (up to 50 attempts)
• Max 10 challenges per day
• You can't play your own challenge

Both you and your friend earn +2 credits when they complete a qualifying game (1,000+ score with verified phone). Max 10 rewarded referrals per month. Your account must be 7+ days old with a verified phone.

New tournament every Monday with a rotating category. Your score = sum of best 10 games. Play 3+ games to qualify.

Prizes

Compete in weekly leagues against ~30 players at your level. Earn league XP by playing games (same formula as Battle Pass points).

Promotion & Demotion

• Top 5 in your group promote to the next tier
• Bottom 5 demote to the tier below

Leagues reset every Monday at midnight UTC. New players start in Bronze. Your league status is shown in the lobby under "Your Progress."

3 quests active each week, rotating every Monday. Complete them to earn bonus credits.

Quest Types

• Easy — Play 5 games, complete 3 dailies, earn a badge (+1 credit)
• Medium — Play 15 games, score a perfect game, play 5 category games (+2 credits)
• Hard — Play 30 games, score 3 perfect games, complete all 7 dailies (+3 credits)

Tap "Claim" when a quest is complete. Quests reset with new objectives each Monday.

The Battle Pass is a seasonal progression system with 30 tiers of rewards. Earn Battle Pass Points (BPP) by playing well:

• +2 base points per game
• +1 per correct answer
• +3 for a perfect game
• +2 for hard difficulty
• +2 for a new high score
• +2 for daily challenge
• +2 for first game of the day

Free Track

All players earn BPP and unlock free tier rewards: credits, XP boosts, and select cosmetics.

Premium Track ($4.99/season)

Unlock the premium tier for exclusive cosmetics (frames, colors, titles, effects), extra credits, and weekly +10 bonus credits.

Season 1 runs March 1 through June 1, 2026. Your progress is shown in the lobby under "Your Progress."

Every registered player gets a permanent, personal trivia room called an Arena.

Tiered events throughout the year: weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, and holiday specials. RSVP costs 1 credit (refunded if you cancel; forfeited if you no-show). Events include bonus XP multipliers and credit prizes for top performers. Enable push notifications to get reminded.

Clans are teams of up to 50 players competing together.

Features

• Create a clan with a unique name and 2-5 letter tag
• Join existing clans to team up with friends

One clan per player. Leave your current clan to join a different one.

Customize your appearance with cosmetics purchased from the shop using credits.

Equip one item per type. Items in 4 rarity tiers: Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary.

Phone-verified users can create custom trivia packs.

How It Works

• Open the pack creator from your profile (My Packs section)
• Add 10 questions with 5 choices each (first choice = correct answer)
• Choose a category, difficulty, and description
• Submit for review — approved packs become playable by everyone

Rewards

• +10 credits per approved pack
• 6 creator badges: First Draft, Published, Prolific (5), Architect (20), Crowd Favorite (100 plays), Hit Maker (1000 plays)

3 submissions per day. Packs are checked for profanity and cross-pack duplicates.

Trivlet caches packs automatically so you can play even without internet.

• Up to 3 packs cached daily from the server
• When offline is detected, a random cached pack loads automatically
• Scores are local only — no credits spent, no stats saved
• Full scoring works: 7,000 base + speed bonus, just like online

Offline mode is perfect for flights, commutes, or anywhere with spotty connection.

After any game, share your results as a visual card or emoji grid.

In multiplayer, any player can start a rematch after results.

Waiting rooms show rotating "Did You Know?" facts. Submit your own (150 chars max, source URL required, 10/day). Every 5 approved facts = +1 credit.

Send emoji reactions during multiplayer games. 6 emojis available with 1-second cooldown. In large rooms (20+), reactions are aggregated for performance.

Play daily to build your streak. XP bonus: +5% per day (up to +100% at 20 days).

Miss a day? Use a Streak Freeze to protect it. 1 free freeze per week, buy more for 3 credits (max 5 stored).

• Export: Download all your data as JSON from profile settings
• Delete: Permanently delete your account from profile settings
• Privacy: No email required, no third-party analytics, minimal data collection

Reporting

Report abusive players, inappropriate packs, or wrong questions. Reports are reviewed by moderators.
