Terms of Service

Welcome to Trivlet ("the Service"), a real-time competitive trivia game operated by Cisco ("we," "us," or "our") at trivlet.com. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Trivlet. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

2. Accounts

You may create an account using passkey (WebAuthn) authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and passkey credentials. Each person may maintain one account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Virtual Currency (Credits)

• Trivlet uses a virtual currency called "credits" to start games.
• Credits can be earned through gameplay (daily login, winning, achievements) or purchased with real money.
• Credits are virtual items with no real-world monetary value. They cannot be transferred, traded, sold, or exchanged for cash.
• We may adjust credit earn rates, costs, or balances at any time to maintain game balance.
• Unused credits are forfeited upon account termination.

4. Purchases and Subscriptions

Trivlet offers the following paid options:

• Credit Packs: One-time purchases of credits ($0.99 / $2.99 / $9.99).
• Pro Subscription: Monthly subscription ($3.99/month) with enhanced credit regeneration and perks.
• Battle Pass: Quarterly pass ($4.99/quarter) with seasonal rewards.

All payments are processed by Stripe. By making a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's terms. Prices are in USD and may change with notice.

5. Refund Policy

• Credit Packs: Refundable within 7 days of purchase if no credits from that pack have been spent. Once any credits are used, the purchase is non-refundable.
• Subscriptions: You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain benefits until then. No partial refunds for unused time.
• Battle Pass: Non-refundable once the season has started.

6. User Content

You may submit trivia facts through the Service. By submitting content, you:

• Grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your submissions within the Service.
• Represent that your submissions are accurate, original, and do not infringe on any third-party rights.
• Acknowledge that we may edit, reject, or remove submissions at our discretion.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to play games or manipulate scores.
• Exploit bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities for unfair advantage.
• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract data from the Service.
• Circumvent rate limits, anti-cheat measures, or CAPTCHA systems.
• Create multiple accounts to abuse credits or game limits.
• Harass, abuse, or impersonate other players.
• Submit false, misleading, or offensive content.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, graphics, and trademarks associated with Trivlet are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission. The trivia questions and game mechanics are proprietary.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation. We are not responsible for any loss of data, credits, or progress due to technical issues.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Clark County, Nevada.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
